Section Town

Railroad trackage and right-of-way deteriorated with weather and usage, and required constant maintenance.  Section towns were built by the railroads to provide living quarters for these crews.  This collection of buildings if typical of many of the towns, and includes the Section House, Bunk House, Coal House, Single Car and Tool House, and two Water Closets.
